Seann Walsh: After This One, I’m Going Home: Pleasance Dome, Edinburgh, 2019

Seann Walsh has that rare gift of ranting about any subject and making it funny.  He is an absolute natural on stage unafraid to talk about anything that comes to mind.  Every time I have seen him live; he has made me consistently cry with laughter.  Walsh was a surprise guest at Always Be Comedy in January and December 2018 and then for an Edinburgh preview show in July 2019 and again with new ideas in September 2019. He delivered a searing honest and extremely funny account of his stand-up career.  He delighted the audience with his observational comedy that was effortlessly good at impressions (including an inspired Michael McIntyre), character observations and biting wit.

I saw Walsh’s solo show After This One I’m Going Home at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2019.  I was genuinely delighted for him that he had a packed audience and one of the greatest observational comedians currently working in the country had me in fits of laughter with his inspired routines including one about playing football as a youngster and having to collect the ball from a neighbour.  Walsh was a pleasure to watch and I wish him every success.
