I saw Pete White play Birdies free comedy night in London in 2014 and then again in 2017. White is extremely jovial on stage whilst delivering puns to an unsuspecting audience. The laughs get bigger as the act goes on and White’s wordplay is second to none.
When I went again to Birdies in January 2018, three times again in March, July and October 2019 and then in January 2020, I was delighted to see Birdies regular and my mate Pete White appear on stage each time where he expertly produced some hysterically funny puns. At the January show, when I met him before the gig, he showed me his joke notebook which to a layman like me was incomprehensible but fascinating to look at words which related to jokes and numbers which he told me were timings of a set. When I met him in March 2019, he told me he was planning his first joke book which sounded awesome based on his performances. In July 2019 and January 2020, he headlined and was given ten minutes to easily win over the audience with his expert delivery of new jokes. Always a joy to see, I plan to see rapid-fire joke machine White on stage again very soon.
