Play: Party: Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, 2009
Tom Basden is an English actor and comedy writer who wrote and starred in his own play: Party which I saw at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009. Basden appeared with fellow comedians Tim Key, Jonny Sweet, Anna Crilly and Katy Wix. The play examines what happens when a group of people try and change the world. Four optimists have decided to form a new political party to save the world from itself. A new fifth member sets about saving the world from them. The play was excellently performed and the idea was engaging enough to keep the audience informed and entertained.
