Cheery Northern comedian Brennan Reece was the opening act for Return of The Craic Online Comedy Club that I saw in January 2021. Exceptionally natural in his delivery, the very likeable comedian talked about life in lockdown whilst eating jelly. He was very endearing to the online crowd.
Having never seen live on stage, Reece was my find of my week at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2022. Exceptionally and effortlessly funny with an audience, the Manchester comedian’s solo show, Crowded, invited the audience to write down answers to questions, Reece picked the best answers and chatted to the recipient and audience about the question and answer creating hilarious comedy as he went along. It was an inspired show with a point to it, that thoroughly engaged the crowd and elevated Reece’s comic talent. The comedian was also the compere of Edinburgh All Stars later in the week, where he demonstrated an incredible ease on stage, was in total control of the room and chatting warmly with the audience before introducing the acts.
The comedian performed a blisteringly funny set at Always Be Comedy’s venue in Wandsworth, London in November 2022, that featured a hysterically funny routine about the awkwardness of sex.
He returned to the Edinburgh Fringe 2024, with a new solo show Me, Me Me. The hour-long show involved an incident where he was fired for telling a joke. I saw the show again in London in February 2025. The Reece’s style was so infectiously warm on stage, together with his frenetic quick-fire delivery, saw the audience laughing and cheering at the great comic.
Reece is highly recommended, absolutely hilarious, and a very endearing comedian.
