Award winning comedian and teacher Elf Lyons played Always Be Comedy in January 2022 and was a guest for Cracking Comedy in Aid of Woman and Children First at the Leicester Square, Theatre, London in May 2022. Surreal and endearing, the quirky comic was wonderfully rude and evocative telling her her stories, at one point at the Always Be Comedy show, using an audience member as a prop to describe a particularly funny routine.
Having attended Jones the Bootmaker (Ish) Edinburgh Awards and watching Lyons receive an award for her show, Horses, it was great to her perform an extract from the show the next day and win another award – the Spirit of The Fringe award – at Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of The Fringe for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2024.
