Robert Ross is a leading authority on the history of British comedy. He has written many books on the subject including The Monty Python Encyclopaedia, The Complete Terry-Thomas, The Carry-On Companion and The Goodies Rule OK, Steptoe and Son, Last of The Summer Wine, a biography on Marty Feldman and the wonderful Forgotten Heroes of Comedy. He has fronted comedy interviews on television, and it was a pleasure to watch him interview Tony Slattery in Edinburgh in 2019 and Tommy Cannon at the Museum of Comedy in London in May 2023, talking about their comedy careers.
