I watched comedy clown James Alexander Hall perform ten minutes at Cottingham Comedy Club and most of his solo show Smorgasboard at the Edge Hub, for the Hull Comedy Festival in November 2024. Hall has a very engaging stage presence involving the audience in fun, games and magic clowning around on stage and creating big laughs. His solo shows had some huge comedy surprises, and he was an exceptional entertainer.
Hull Comedy Festival regular Hall was a guest panellist for the RSPCA Comedy Panel Show and I also watched his new solo show in 2025, Heavy Petting. Based on an animal theme, this was more inspired clowning from a very engaging and entertaining performer.
