Writer and comedian Ania Magliano made her Always Be Comedy debut live on stage in October 2021, was a guest again live in November 2021 and an online act for Always Be Comedy in December 2021. Confident, bright, and very funny, she was effortless with the audience who really warmed to her as she delivered tales about her relationship and career.
In August 2022, I watched Magliano’s solo show Absolutely No Worries If Not at the Pleasance Courtyard as part of the Edinburgh Fringe 2022. Routines included the realisation of her bisexuality, looking after a cat, and being educated at an all-girls school. The hour was delivered with an amazing warmth and likeability and the packed crowd was instantly endeared to her. The performance and stories were hysterically funny and Magliano was a delight to watch.
In October 2022, the comedian was a guest for Always Be Comedy at Wandsworth and then again, at the Kennington venue in December 2022, where she thoroughly entertained the crowd with a twenty-minute routine from her show making them consistently laugh a lot.
I watch Magliano’s solo show, I Can’t Believe You’ve Done This at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2023. A show about the comedian’s worst haircut, her confident, assured performance was crammed with jokes and stories that were both hysterical and touching.
It was a joy to watch her perform a new work in progress show at the Leicester Comedy Festival in February 2024. Fearless with a crowd, confident, appealing and very funny, her stories were endearing and easily engaging. Magliano is a great comedian.
