BBC New Comedy Awards 2023 Semi-Finalist, Jack McLean opened the Humber Comedy Festival and also performed at the Whats On Hull Comedian of The Year Final 2023 (having won the competition in 2022).  I was extremely impressed by his easy-going nature on stage, effortlessly making the audiences laugh out loud.

He was the local opening act for Chris Ramsey and Friends, a star-packed show at the Connexin Arena for the Hull Comedy Festival that I saw in November 2024.  I was so pleased for him as he brilliantly displayed comic timing with telling wonderfully funny stories about his life and career.

McLean returned to Hull Comedy Festival in November 2025 with his debut solo show Insincerely Yours. A show focussing on insincerity, lies and authenticity, he was very appealing, very funny and born to be a comedian.
