Ed Jefferson: Hull Comedy Festival 2025: 1-2 Pier Street, Hull, 2025 

Comedian Edd Jefferson was an act for the Hull What’s On Comedian of The Year Final 2024 as part of the Hull Comedy Festival in November 2024.  Wearing a suit, the extremely tall comic was very self-effacing as he delivered a roster of wonderful one-liners that had the audience belly-laughing.  Fellow judge Jack Gleadow and I were unanimous in our decision and Jefferson thoroughly deserved to win the competition. 

He returned to the Hull Comedy Festival 2025 and appeared as a guest panellist on the RSPCA Comedy Panel Show for Charity: Cats vs Dogs.  He was also the guest act at the What’s On Hull Comedian of The Year 2025 and I watched him really shine when he performed his first solo comedy hour.  Brilliantly describing his insecurities, future parenthood and the fear of taking life’s next steps, he was very engaging, extremely funny and witty and a joy to watch.

I wish him every success and look forward to seeing him again soon.
