I saw Middlesbrough born comedian Joe Bates appear at the first ever Flamingo Sparks open mic comedy night and the first ever Live at Piccadilly in January and February 2020. Bates was wonderfully droll describing recent health scares and ailments and had a great delivery with superb timing that generated big laughs. He was also a guest act for the opening launch of Comedy Kiss, a comedy night for new and established comedians. Bates is very funny, highly recommended and one to look out for at future gigs.
