I saw Jenny Éclair at the Gilded Balloon Teviot in Edinburgh in 2013. Éclair has been performing comedy for over thirty years, starting off in the eighties as being one of a very few number of female stand-ups, and her Edinburgh show was delivered with her trademark gusto and was packed with jokes. Éclair’s appeal was that she was unafraid to talk about most subjects including being a middle-aged parent which endeared her to the mid-week audience.
