Backyard Comedy Club Thursday Night: Backyard Comedy Club, Bethnal Green, London, 2021
Back live on stage in May 2021, I went along for the first time to the famous Backyard Comedy Club in Bethnal Green in London. The new material Thursday night is run by David Ward and fellow comedian David Whitney. Ward compared the gig with cheerful warmth and great gusto delivering quality jokes and stories that warmed up the audience for the main acts. By coincidence, chatting to Ward on the tube home, it was clear that he was delighted to be back on stage and I made a point of returning to the club again soon.
