JACK ROOKE

Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of The Fringe: Assembly George Square Studios, Edinburgh, 2015
Jack Rooke: Good Grief: Soho Theatre, London, 2015

Jack Rooke is an English comedian and campaigner.   I first saw him as a guest at Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of The Fringe showcase in 2015 where he was promoting his solo show Good Grief that I saw later in the year at the Soho Theatre in London.  Good Grief was based on his experience of losing his father who passed away when Rooke was just 22 years old and finding happiness after tragedy.  The show was upbeat, brilliantly used props to clarify points and the writing was universally funny which appealed to the wide audience.
