American comedian Hal Sparks appeared on the bill at the Big Comedy Gala in Aid of Macmillan Cancer Support that I saw at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2011. Sparks was full of positive energy and gave everything on stage as he described his upbringing to the packed audience.
