Danny ‘Slim’ Gray played an Always Be Comedy showcase and the Friday Night Comedy showcase at the Vauxhall Comedy Club in September 2021. Winner of the Best Male category at the 2004 Black Entertainment Awards, Slim’s debut at Always Be Comedy was inspired and had me roaring with laughter. Talking about his career, his description of being a London bus driver was one of the funniest routines I have heard all year and stories about his family and experiences during lockdown were a joy to watch. The appearance made me want to see the comedian live again soon and he is highly recommended.
