Comedian Tom Mayhew was the headliner for two Sofa Sofunny! Showcases that I saw In February and December 2022.  The comedian who has his own Radio 4 comedy series Tom Mayhew is Benefit Scum, delivered wonderfully funny sets about his passion for football, his working class roots as well as political satire.

Mayhew was an inspired regular guest for 101 Rules for a Better World (By Comedians) at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025.  His proposed rules were inspired and hilarious and were mostly won over by the audience.

He returned to Sofa So Funny! in November 2025 to perform a brilliant angst-ridden and hilarious set.

Mayhew was a guest for Adele Cliff’s Topical Late Night Show with Adele Cliff, that I watched at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2026.  Easy going and charming with a wicked innocence on stage, Mayhew is an extremely funny storyteller.
