Comedian, Alasdair Beckett-King was a guest for Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of The Fringe at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2022. Promoting his show, Nevermore, the famously long-haired comedian delivered sharp intelligent satire and jokes to an enthralled audience creating laughter with ease.

2017 winner of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year, Beckett-King performed his work-in-progress solo show, King of Crumbs, at the Leicester Comedy Festival in February 2023.  The show was a wonderfully funny mix of inane ideas and views that had the crowd in fits of laughter.

In July 2025, Beckett-King headlined the Sofa So Funny showcase that I watched in Islington, London.  His own unique brand of clever lunacy shone through, as he took control of the room and delivered a comic masterclass.

Beckett-King was a wonderful surreal guest for a recording of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz that I watched in January 2026.
