Comedian Ben Pope was a guest compere for Always Be Comedy at Wandsworth, London that I watched in November 2022 and December 2022. Bright, lively and very engaging on stage, Pope bantered with the audience with an easy-going charm, warming them up for the main acts.
I watched Pope’s very impressive solo show, Holy Cow, at The Vault Festival in January 2023. The show featured Pope’s hilarious experiences at three different weddings that he attended, and he was extremely engaging and funny on stage. A brilliant storyteller and born to be a comedian, the stories were laugh-out-loud funny, intelligent and thoroughly entertained the audience for an hour.
I was delighted to see Pope as a guest for On The Edge Best of The Fest at the Brighton Fringe in May 2023. Delivering a blisteringly funny set, including a wonderful routine about cheese, Pope was born to be a comedian and was loved by the audience. Pope is highly recommended.
