Ed Aczel: High Plains Drifter: Leicester Comedy Festival 2026: Kayal, Leicester, 2026 

Edward Aczel is a project manager by day and a stand-up comedian in the evenings.  He appeared as a guest at Nick Helm’s Christmas show in December 2019.  Aczel’s act deconstructed three jokes explaining in detail to the audience who got increasingly restless and he murmured on about obscure historical facts and meanings.  Once the audience were in on the joke, the brave act worked and Aczel was very funny.

I was delighted to see Aczel for my final show at the 2026 Leicester Comedy Festival. Truly unique and hilarious in his delivery, his show High Plains Drifter, he was exceptionally dead-pan and didn’t have to do much at all to make the audience laugh.  His observations were odd but true and he was happy to chat to the audience creating a depth and warmth to the material.  He is highly recommended.
