Comedian Jed Salisbury stood in for another act that was unable to make the Hastings Fringe Comedy Festival at the last moment. Together with Gary Jennison, the two Hull comedians really entertained the crowd. Salisbury performed snippets from his show Millennial Falcon describing the rise of social media with many relatable laughs from the crowd.
Nominated for Best Kids Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival & UK Kids’ Comedy Festival in 2021, Hull’s comedy duo Salisbury (‘Jeddybear’) & Gary Jennison performed a new children’s show, Fiesta of Fun at the Leicester Comedy Festival that I watched in February 2023. Full of comedy, mischief, fun, games, music, dancing and custard pies, this show was wonderfully constructed from two great comedians.
Salisbury was wonderful again in Jeddybear & Gary’s Fiesta of Fun for the Hastings Comedy Festival 2023 and then performed a twenty-minute set for Late Night at The Nest in the same day.
Co-Director of the Hull Comedy Festival (with Gary Jennison), the comedian topped the bill at the Humber Comedy Festival in November and compared the What’s On Comedian of The Year Final, where I was a judge. Salisbury’s stand-up is extremely funny and brilliantly constructed to get maximum laughter.
The new kid’s show for 2024, Jeddy Bear & Gary’s Chemistry of Chaos was my first show at the Leicester Comedy Festival in February 2024. The double act of Salisbury and Jennison worked so well as they tried demonstrated hilarious science experiments resulting in pie throwing, audience interaction, attempted rocket launching, and the two comedy stars being the butt of the joke. Working so hard to entertain the audience, the families and especially the kids loved the show, and it was once again nominated for Best Kids Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival & UK Kids’ Comedy Festival in 2024.
I saw him again at the Hastings Comedy Festival in June 2024, where I watched the Chemistry of Chaos children’s show and then Salisbury was a guest for The Late Show.
Salisbury, along with Jennison made a fantastic compere double act at the Cottingham Comedy Club for the Hull Comedy Festival in November 2024. He was also a very funny host for the Hull Whats On Comedian of The Year Final 2024 where I was very honoured to be a judge.
The comedian returned to Hastings Comedy Festival 2025, starring in the childrens’ show, Jeddybear and Gary Save the World and as a guest for The Late Show.
For the Hull Comedy Festival 2025, co-director Salisbury appeared as a panellist for the RSPCA Comedy Panel Show for Charity: Cats vs Dogs, was an excellent host for the Hull What’s On New Comedian of The Year 2025 (where I was a judge) and as part of a group of very funny comedians for Quip Spice Comedy – including everything from stand-up to sketches to audience participation.
A naturally storyteller, Salisbury is a very funny comedian, compere and entertainer.
