I watched the one-man party maker Jonny Awsum perform as a guest on The Horne Section show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014. The Horne Section led by Alex Horne and a bunch of talented musicians create a supercharged atmosphere at their shows and Awsum was the perfect guest effortlessly winning over the audience with sing-along comic songs.
I saw the very likeable and talented Awsum deservedly headline Always Be Comedy in March 2018. Awsum was a very lively performer and armed with guitar delivered three catchy songs that the audience sang along to. In one song he picked me sitting in my usual front row seat to impersonate a wild bear who he later complemented on social media as being a great impersonation. Awsum was a wonderful crowd-pleasing act and an excellent headliner.
