The Frog and Bucket is a famous comedy club in Manchester. I hadn’t been to Manchester for a few years and I had never been to the club. I went along with an old friend of mine and the West Country comedian Cerys Nelmes proved a skilful compere of the night with a loud Saturday night crowd. Her audience banter and liveliness on stage was faultless and was fearless with an array of comebacks with her crowd chatter.
In September 2021 and again in January 2022, Nelmes made a competent and very funny compere for Headliners Comedy Club in London (including the 20th Anniversary show in 2021). Easily bantering with the audience, Nelmes’ filthy yet innocent style shone through as she introduced the acts.
