I was delighted to see for the first-time northern comedian (from Hull) Lucy Beaumont appear for Always Be Comedy Online in May 2020. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, everyone was locked down and the comedian was seen from her home. Her set included a PowerPoint presentation where the virtual front row sang The Twelve Days of Christmas substituted by bizarre true stories from the Hull Live website which were hilarious. With other oddities in her routine, her sweet and innocent delivery of the material was a pleasure to watch.
Beaumont and her comedian husband Jon Richardson gave a superbly funny interview to James Gill, the host of Always Be Comedy Online in September 2020. They were incisive, honest and extremely witty giving their time whilst filming their popular TV show Meet The Richardsons.
The comedian made a very amiable guest at a recording of the Channel 4 comedy show The Last Leg that I saw in January 2023.
