Comedian Jacob Hawley was a guest at an online show of Always Be Comedy in May 2020 and appeared again for Always Be Comedy Online due to the lockdown restrictions of the Coronavirus epidemic as a guest for Al Murray’s Lockdown Lock-in in January 2021 and then again in February 2021.

Hawley was sharp, confident, and very funny as he broadcast from his home.  The young stand-up comedian with working class roots talked about living conditions, becoming a dad and everyday life during the difficult time with warmth, positive skill, and verve that really entertained the online crowd.

In June 2021, compere James Gill celebrated his birthday online at Always Be Comedy Online. An amazing line up of surprise comedians including Hawley gave a no-holds-barred tribute ‘roast’ to the great man.  The show was one of the funniest ninety-minutes of the year.

Hawley made his live debut at Always Be Comedy in July 2021 and appeared again in November 2021 where he delivered two brilliantly funny twenty-minute routines.  He was a joy to watch and born to be a comedian.

The comedian delivered a preview show for Always Be Comedy online in April 2022.  The show about the last two years of his life becoming a father was inspired, original and extremely funny.  I am looking forward to seeing the final show at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe in August.  Hawley is one to watch and improves every time I see him live.
