I saw comedian Isy Suttie appear in her solo show The Suttie Show in London in 2010. It was a show about how childhood dreams gets lost in adulthood and the charming performer delighted the crowd with her music comic songs and skill. Suttie also played the Charity Comedy Night that I saw at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London in 2011.
I was very pleased when Suttie returned to Always Be Comedy in March 2020 with brand new material. Armed with a guitar, her charming stage presence with her melodic abilities and adaptability with accents were on show and she delivered witty stories about her family together with a very funny song about trying to get her baby to sleep. Her bright, cheery demeanour was infectious.
The comedian appeared again for Always Be Comedy Online in October 2020, for Collywobblers Comedy Lockdown in November 2020 and for Comedy at the Covid Arms 1st Birthday Show in March 2021 talking about her experiences living in lock down living with her other half, being a parent and producing more great funny songs.
She returned again to Always Be Comedy Online in October 2021 for An Evening with Isy Suttie where she chatted to compere James Gill about her family, career and her first novel Jane Is Trying about a woman attempting to make new starts in life.
In August 2022, Suttie played Always Be Comedy and performed a preview of her new show Jackpot. With a warm, engaging delivery, the preview was very personal and endearing with brilliant witty stories and songs of family life.
Suttie is a class act and it is great to see her writing and back performing comedy.
