Sooz Kempner was a guest for Vix leyton’s Comedy Roulette in July 2020.  The game is based on random balls with topics on them picked at random by Leyton and Kempner had some great stories told with wit and imagination with an endearing delivery.

Sister of Luke Kempner, the comedian appeared as a guest on his show at 2Northdown in October 2021.  She was extremely engaging as she described family life and her love of musical theatre.

The comedian performed her solo show, Class of 2000, at the Hastings Comedy Festival in June 2024.  Bright, cheerful and very very funny, the show looked back through her life at class.  She described in great detail her wonderful love of horses and the stories were clever, relatable and well received.

Kempner appeared with satirical pianist Richard Thomas for Cray Cray Cabaret at The Comedy Store, London in April 2025.  She belted out comic songs to specific humorous themes.  The 15-minute performance was exhausting and hilarious.

In May 2025, I saw Kempner’s solo show, Sooz Kempner is Ugly at the Brighton Fringe.  Examining ageing and beauty, the show was filled with glorious observations that were very amusing and very clever.

In August 2025, the comedian was a guest on Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of the Fringe, performing a wonderful extract from her show.
