One of the highlights of the evening, I saw Rosie Jones do a ten-minute slot for the Off The Kerb showcase at The Comedy Store, London in April 2018. I saw her again at Always Be Comedy in May and June where Jones performed her Edinburgh preview show. Her confidence soared on stage as she delivered one great funny punchline after another drawing the audience into her world. Jones had a very inspiring and playful way of piercing the audience’s natural suspicion about laughing at a disabled woman with cerebral palsy. Her slow speech made the audience listen and the pay-off punchlines to her stories were uproariously funny. After a very successful Edinburgh Fringe, I saw Jones again at Always Be Comedy in November 2018. Jones once again left the stage every-time to a well-deserved massive cheer from the crowd.
I was delighted to see Jones on the bill for the Edinburgh Comedy Allstars at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2019 and then again for Always Be Comedy in September and October 2019 (dressed as a scary clown for a Halloween special) where she was very endearing and very funny with the audiences who warmed to her style of comedy.
Jones was also a guest at the second extravaganza show #SaveLiveComedy that I watch online live from the Clapham Grand in August 2020 where once again she delighted the audience with her cutting humour.
Jones appeared at Always Be Comedy Online in November 2020 and topped the bill at the Stand Up 4 Women Xmas Edition in December 2020 where her set featured her declaring love for the actress Gillian Anderson. The routine was brilliantly constructed, and her timing was immaculate.
In February 2021, Jones was a guest for Always Be Comedy Online in aid of The Lily Foundation. The Lily Foundation helps to improves the lives of people with mitochondrial disease. The comedian was also a guest for Always Be Comedy Online in April 2021. Jones was hilarious describing her experiences of lock down living with her parents and It was great to see the winningly funny comedian again.
In June 2022, she returned to Always Be Comedy delivering a fantastic hour of new material and observations. She delivered it all with a cheeky grin completely gaining th trust and love of the audience.
Over time, it has been wonderful to see Jones flourish as a brilliant comedian.
