Northern comic Phil Ellis appeared for Always Be Comedy Online in August 2020. His anarchic pace and range was crazy and hilarious and he was fearless with the online audience effortlessly bantering away with them. As he started the seemingly put together set, a brilliant twist saw his flatmate (fellow comedian Chris Betts) coming in and sit in front of the camera watching television as he was trying to perform. Ellis was a true original and a comic force to be reckoned with.
