Best of Jongleurs: Battersea, London, 1992
Tim Clark: Altogether Now: Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh, 2006
Headliners Comedy Club: George IV pub, Chiswick, London, 2016
Tim Clark is a very competent compere of comedy nights that I witnessed in London at Jongleurs in Battersea and Headliners in Chiswick. I also saw his Fringe show Altogether Now in 2006 where on a wet Monday evening in August I ventured to my seat and sat with seven other punters. Clark was having fun with this small audience and when he came to me he asked me what would my ideal job be? I replied I would like to have Michael Parkinson’s job. He said what do I do for a real job? I said I worked in the Civil Service. He said you’ll never be Michael Parkinson which got one of the biggest laughs of the night. So far, he was right – I became a comedy blogger instead!
