TERRY GILLIAM

Monty Python Live (Mostly): One Down, Five To Go: The O2 Arena, London, 2014

When the Monty Python team delivered  a live show in 2014 featuring many of their classic sketches and much loved songs, as with the iconic television series the animation was created by American Terry Gilliam.  Part of the group from the beginning, the only member not from the UK,  his cartoons famously connected the show’s sketches together and defined the group’s visual image. His animations mix his own bizarre art with backgrounds and moving shapes from antique photographs.  The animation has become unique and Gilliam went o to make a number of high profile films including Brazil, The Fisher King and Twelve Monkeys.
