I have seen Josie Long has appeared in a few guest spots as part of showcases since she started out as a comedian.  After winning the BBC New Comedy Award at aged just 17, her trademark quirkiness on stage enables her to tackle subjects such as torment, optimism and despair as well as political issues.  One routine in 2007 was based on liking people through looking at strangers and imagining their lives and another in 2011 was about feeling anguish by the world.  Such diverse positive and negative topics have made her something of a cult with audiences.
