Fred Macaulay is a well-established Scottish comedian, who has been in the industry for 29 years and for 18 years up until 2015 was the presenter of a daily BBC Radio Scotland programme Macaulay and Co.  It will come as no surprise then that the comic is always extremely popular at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and I have seen perform there a few times over the years.

Macaulay is a master at audience participation and has spoken on a large range of topics – everything from US President Donald Trump, to living in Glasgow to the price and quality of Fish Fingers.  He is ever the gentlemen on stage always apologising to the audience when using colourful language to describe a point.

Every time I have watched him to date, he is a very down-to earth, easy-going and above all an extremely funny and witty comedian.
