UK-based Japanese comedian Yuriko Kotani was a guest at Happy Mondays Comedy Lockdown Live One Year Anniversary Zoom Special in April 2021 and for Always Be Comedy online in February 2022. Kotani was lively and enthusiastic as she delivered reflections on her lockdown experience with great comic effect.
Kotani appeared live for Always Be Comedy in April 2022. Extremely endearing on stage, the audience really warmed to her as she delivered a wonderful set about her experiences of living in the UK.
I watched Kotani twice in succession for 21 Soho Presents and then at the Boatshow Comedy Club in October 2022. She was funny both night explaining to the audience what it is like to be British and the differences between the two countries.
