Matthew Perry wrote and starred in his play The End of Longing that I saw at the Playhouse Theatre in London in 2017. One of the stars of the massive comedy hit TV series Friends, Perry played Jack, an alcoholic photographer who meets up in a bar with his friends Jeffrey and Stevie and then meets Stephanie, a high-class escort. The script is an examination of the illness written with scornful wit and it was good to see the popular American comedy star live on stage.
