Amy Gledhill: The Girl Before The Girl You Marry: Soho Theatre, London, 2023
Hailing from Hull, comedian and one half of the sketch group The Delightful Sausage (together with Chris Cantrill), Amy Gledhill made a welcome guest host for the Always Be Comedy showcase that I watched in May 2022. She was bright, quick-witted, enthusiastic, and lively as she delivered entertaining anecdotes warming up the audience for the main acts.
I watched Gledhill’s tour show The Girl Before The Girl You Marry at the Soho Theatre in April 2023, Being extremely impressed with her podcast Northern News with fellow comic Ian Smith (https://podcasts.apple.com/fm/podcast/northern-news/id1673261169), the bubbly energetic Northern comedian was a joy to watch as she delivered an uplifting show about buoyancy, dancing, love and relationships. She really was a wonderful tonic who was in total command of the room and her audience with uplifting and hysterically funny stories and jokes.
