I saw Irish comedian Al Porter at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe.  His show Campus Maximus took elements of Frankie Howard in Up Pompeii mixed with Carry-On style working class camp. Porter’s delivery of a joke is priceless, and he had the audience in continuous fits of laughter.

Porter returned to Edinburgh in 2023 for Mervyn Stutter’s Spirit of the Fringe Awards.   Delivering a superb 15-minute set, he was merciless in making the audience cry with laughter and the award was truly deserved for this very talented comedian.
