I saw Lou Sanders perform two shows at Always Be Comedy as well as compere the NHS Nurses Fundraiser benefit at Up The Creek Comedy Club all in 2017. Sanders was excellent company easily interacting with the audience with zany quick-witted comments and also delving into serious subjects with appealing self-assurance and humour.
Sanders bounded onto the stage at the Big Funny Fest in June 2019 with a confidence and assurance of a rising comedy star. She immediately started chatting with the front row of the audience in an easy going way extracting laughs where she could find them. Her set consisted of reading comedic nuggets of wisdom from her little books that she brought with her and a brilliant routine about the online dating profile of her friend. The chaos was well delivered and after her twenty minutes, left the audience on a laughter high.
I saw Sanders again previewing her new Edinburgh Fringe show at Always Be Comedy in July 2019 and then again in September 2019. The initial set up and killer punchlines to stories based on unpredictable sexual hang-ups, dating and relationships were hugely impressive especially for new material and she endeared herself to the audiences.
Sanders performed for Always Be Comedy Online in September 2020, The Confident Crow Comedy Club Online that I saw in February 2021 and again for Always Be Comedy Online in March 2021. Sanders easily entertained the audience with jokes and stories involving relationships and her experiences with lockdown during the pandemic. In November 2021, she appeared again for Always Be Comedy Online performing a new material set whilst skating around a park which was unique.
