I have seen comedian Joel Dommett play Always Be Comedy in 2016 and 2017.  Both times, he performed the sets with lightning energy going off on random tangents straying from his script reacting to things he has said or bantering with the audience.  Covering subjects about celebrity, bring bullied at school and relationships, Dommett was very quick-witted and immediately warmed to both crowds.

Dommett headlined at Always Be Comedy in February and July 2019.  His easy and spirited appeal enthralled the audience creating a lively relationship whilst supplying a brilliant set piece on celebrity status together with well written new material delivered with his high-voltage charm.  He was extremely endearing with crowd and can create a very funny line out of almost any situation.

The comedian played the comedy club in January, February and for two shows (one a live stream) in October 2020 where he delivered new work in progress material on his view of celebrity status and culture.  He seemed to belong on stage and delivered two extremely funny sets.

In June 2020, he headlined Always Be Comedy Online describing his carefree musings about being isolated in the countryside that he was effortlessly funny.  His relaxed style was very engaging and warm with the enthused online crowd.

Dommett returned to live stand-up at Always Be Comedy in July and August 2021 with a memorable hour of new material for a possible upcoming tour and then returned again in December 2022.  Subjects including his hit Saturday night prime time ITV show The Masked Singer, his recent wedding, an unfortunate body wax and an embarrassing airline incident (which he demonstrated by climbing on my front row chair where I was sitting and moving rather awkwardly around me to get to his seat) all came under scrutiny in a perfectly crafted comedy show that delighted the audience.  He also headlined at Always Be Comedy again in February 2024.

A naturally funny comedian on stage and online, Dommett is a mighty comic force generating continuous levels of laughter.
