Lauren Pattinson played an Always Be Comedy showcase that I saw in 2016. She was a convincing narrator as she described living in London to her native Newcastle. She skilfully built her comedy to generate big laughs and was a hit with the audience.
Pattison delivered a very funny routine at Always Be Comedy where she appeared in November 2019. She described her new relationship finding and settling with a new posh boyfriend using unremorseful and lewd self-depreciation and humour. She has an extremely endearing and vulnerable stage presence, which she used to great effect in getting the audience on her side.
Pattison returned to Always Be Comedy this time online in 2020 where she talked about the hilarious consequences of going back to live with her mother during lock down. Pattison also played Return of The Craic hosted by Jarlath Regan in February 2021 where again with the addition of a very cute new dog, she was warm and funny recalling stories about relationships and living in lockdown in her native Newcastle.
The comedian returned to live stand-up when she played The Comedy Store in August 2021 and then for the London Comedy Allstars in May 2022. Extremely confident and determined to get laughs, she was joy to watch.
