I watched actress, writer and comedian Lulu Popplewell make her debut at Always Be Comedy in November 2019. She conveyed quick-witted pin-sharp jokes mixed with lively banter with the audience.  She was very funny and warm remarking on her specific take of the world.  Having been told she was once a member of the audience, the crowd were extremely encouraging and seemed delighted at her winning performance.

The comedian delivered a hysterical set when she appeared for Live @ Limehouse in September 2020, Comedy Kiss in December 2020 and Cutting Room Floor East in July 2021.  Her dog almost stole the show watching by her side, but she was witty, engaging, and enthusiastic as she talked about her lock down experiences.

Popplewell was the headline act for Live @ Piccadilly that I watched in February 2022.  The comedy showcase saw her deliver a brilliant routine including appearing in the film Love Actually, and the audience loved her.  The comedian seems to get better and better every time I see her.
