She was the only daughter of the humourist and journalist Alan Coren who was a long-time friend and colleague of comedian and writer Barry Cryer. At Barry Cryer’s 80th Birthday celebration that I attended as a member of the audience at the Palace Theatre in London in 2015, Coren gave a heartfelt and emotional tribute to the comedy star.
