Sean Hughes’ Blank Book: Gilded Balloon Teviot. Edinburgh, 2017
Comedian Joe Rowntree was a guest for Sean Hughes’ Blank Book that I saw at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017. Blank Book curator Hughes and Carl Donnelly, Hannah Norris and Rowntree made up a story live on stage with a written beginning and the audience will be told the end. Part improvisation, part storytelling, the comedians had no clue where there were going and sometimes an idea worked and sometimes it didn’t.
