Andy Zaltzman is a British comedian and author who mainly focusses on sport related and political material.  Instantly recognisable from his shock of ginger curly hair, Zaltzman has been working on the comedy circuit for years but I have only seen him once live on stage compering at the Battersea Arts Centre in London in 2015.  The satirist’s view on the past, the present and future state of the world was brilliant.  Zaltzman was very clever and witty with his stories and was thoroughly engaging with the audience.

Wonderful to see Zaltzman in October 2025 as chair of Radio 4s long running The News Quiz at a recording at BBC Radio Theatre in October 2025, and again at The Unicorn Theatre in London in January 2026.  He made a superb compere who was very quick-witted with pinpoint hilarious observations about the week’s news.
