Dad’s Army Radio Hour: Pleasance Dome, Edinburgh, 2017
Jack Lane appeared with David Benson in Dad’s Army Radio Hour that I saw at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017. In celebration of fifty years and written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, the two actors played twenty-five different characters in a brilliant staging of classic radio scripts based on favourite episodes from the original TV series. The impersonations from the two actors are inspired – Lane’s Captain Mainwaring was an inspiration and the show was extremely well put together which resulted in a joyous, nostalgic hour.
